But the real reason is - that the founder of Sea Shepherd is NOT the kind of man - that plays nice in debating. Say that Heri Joensen was talking to Paul Watson in San Diego and the debate was in Heri's favore - then Sea Shepherd would editited the video, so it would look like Paul Watson was winning the debate. Also when you're debating with people from Sea Shepherd - they never ever want to hear the truth about whale harvesting. No, they only want it THEIR way or NONE at all.

The fact that we only harvest about 800 - 1.000 Pilot Whales a year in the Faroe Islands - is NOT what they want to hear. There is about 800.000 Pilot Whales swimming in the waste ocean and faroese people only harvest a very little (and sustainable) amount of the Pilot whales. Also it might be added, that we harvest the Pilot whale very quickly (it only takes about 12 seconds for them to die) and we share our food with the people, that were participated in the harvest.

Sure it LOOKS very brutal - when the Sea Shepherd people are walking around with their BIG cameras and taking pictures. But have you ever been in a slaughter house ..? It LOOKS very brutal also and like the cows and chicken, that WE also eat every day - the Pilot whale we eat - is sustainable and we would NOT harvest any Pilot whale, if we knew that it wasn't sustainable.
Sure - these are facts, but not facts Paul Watson want's to SHARE with the rest of world. Why ..? It's very simple: Sea Shepherd makes a TON of money - selling PROPAGANDA bullshit to the rest of the world and this is also why - it is impossible debating with a lying sack of shit, that Mr. Watson really is.
And if you want to know the TRUTH about whale harvesting in the Faroe Island - then visit the faroese goverment homepage: http://www.whaling.fo/ and please do ENJOY your stay in the Faroe Islands.
