Two airlines will open new routes to the Faroe Islands after the number of passengers travelling to the country set new records for the fifth consecutive year.
Poul Michelsen, minister of foreign affairs and trade, confirmed in December that Scandinavian Airlines and Loganair will be given permission to start flying to the Faroe Islands. Atlantic Airways, the national Faroese airline, will no longer be the only option for airborne travellers.
