Response to Watson's response of my response!

I seem to have struck a nerve and Watson thinks he got all the answers, but the truth of the matter is, that he hasn't ... So here's my response to his response of my first response ...

Read first article here: Response to Watson's response ..!

Paul Watson: I guess if you keep repeating that 2 second myth and keep maintaining that the slaughter is sustainable you may get a few more Faroese to believe it but the rest of the world is not buying it. We have seen the slaughter and millions have seen the videos of the slaughter and what we see is a long stressful chase followed by an exceedingly cruel orgy of slaughter and at no time have we ever seen a Pilot whale or other species of dolphin killed in 2 seconds. I’m sure that Páll Klettskarð and Sørmundur Kalsø are happy indulging in their sadistic pleasures. They are all smiles as they wade in blood. Most psychopaths are happy with their work.

My response: The Pilot Whales are sustainable, Mr. Watson and there are about 778.000 of them swimming free in the oceans and we only harvest about 800 a year (some times much less than that). And faroese people do NOT hunt whale. If we spot them, then we send after other boats and we harvest them on the beach and it takes 2 seconds for the Pilot Whale to die, when we send the Spinal Lance in the Pilot Whale neck and that's the 2 seconds Im talking about. I respect your way of living, Mr. Watson and your way of living - is to eat gras, but that dos'nt mean, that all of the world should be eating gras, does it ..? You would'nt blame a farmer for killing a cow, so other people could have some meat on the table, would you ?!? So why should you blame the faroese people for being sadistic for harvesting a couple of sustainable Pilot Whales a year ..? In your heart (being part dane) you know the faroese people are peaceful, so quit the lies, Mr. Watson and have some self respect!

Paul Watson: Yes, the hallmark of a nice guy is to viciously inflict pain and death to a sentient self aware socially complex intelligent being. If you think it’s not worth it responding to me, the question is why are you responding to me? I admit that he plays football but your definition of fantastic is relevant. By Faorese standards he may be fantastic but by Euro standards he is quite mediocre. He may mean no harm against people but he sure as hell means harm to cetaceans.

My response: Well, he is a nice guy and for harvesting a Pilot Whale - does not make him or any other faroese citizen bad (maybe in your eyes, but not the entire world). If the Pilot Whale is so clever, as you keep saying, Mr. Watson - then why are the pods swimming to the "Bloody fjords" of Faroe Islands ..? And also - the sustainable chicken & pigs don't swim freely and the sustainble Pilot Whale does, but you don't seem to care - if people kill chickens or pigs. You seem like a guy playing God Almighty: "Kill this animal, but let this one live!" And yes - it seems very brutal, when you harvest the Pilot Whale on the beach, because of all the blood, but if also seems brutal, when you kill a cow - they're both sustainable, Mr. Watson - remember that!

Paul Watson: By Faroese standards being nice and great does not hold much weight outside of the Faroes. You harvest apples not whales, the slaughter is not quick and it is not sustainable.

My response: Yes, we harvest the sustainable Pilot Whales and the harvest is very quick (I have talked about this before, but you don't seem to care or listen ... and also didn't you call a movie: Black Harvest ?!?). And we don't feed the Pilot Whales to salmon for crying out loud, Mr. Watson - get a grib on yourself.

Paul Watson: You assume I am a fan of Iceland’s team. I am not of course but I have to admit as every Englishman must also admit, they are pretty damn good at football and in truth compared to the Iceland team, the Faroese team is quite third-rate. I do not like whalers no matter what their race or nationality. Our actions against Iceland have been more aggressive than our actions against the Faroes. Wonderful you beat Greece but is that your standard for excellence that you beat Greece twice? I mean really is that the summation of your bragging rights? Maybe your team should have that printed on your shirts. “Hey, look at us, we beat Greece twice.”

My response: For a nation that small Faroe Islands is - I would say, that it is pretty damn impressive, that we have beating Greece twice, so maybe that T-shirt you're talking about - isn't such a bad idea afterall. And I also agree, that the Iceland team was GREAT during EM and I am starting to see, that maybe you're starting to change your opinion on Faroe Islands after all these years.

Paul Watson: Accusing me of hiding behind a computer is a bit of a stretch I think. I have been to the Faroese many times including many times before these two footballers were ever born. Whales do scream, next time put your head under the water and you will hear them. Where am I? I will tell you, I am and will continue to be the nemesis of all whalers everywhere. Our ships and our crew have and will continue to save the lives of whales and dolphins. This week we were able to get Costco to stop purchasing Faroese salmon and we will go after the buyers of Faroese salmon in our program to economically undermine these companies. We are also pursuing other economic strategies and pursuing legal channels. We will never back down on our opposition to the cruel, unsustainable, barbaric slaughter of these wonderful sentient beings. Accusing me of eating Foie Gras shows how desperate you are by making up ludicrous accusations like that considering I am a very outspoken opponent in France to the slaughter of geese and ducks for Foie Gras including speaking out against it in the French National Assembly. Not only am I vegan, all are ships are 100% vegan. But if it makes you feel better to spew such lies, please go on, I'm sure the Faorese whalers will believe you because most people elsewhere will not.

My response: Aaah, it's been a while since you have been in the Faroe Islands, Mr. Watson and I have not seen you in Japan, but you seem to have a lot of people doing the dirty work for you. As you have been quoted saying: "The most powerful weapon in the world, as far as I'm concerned, is the camera" and by the camera - you can damage a country a lot - as you have done with Faroe Islands.

The Foie Gras was a joke, Mr. Watson - can't you take a joke ?!? But you keep saying, that you're vegan, so we kinda have to believe that one ... And also (in your own documentary) people from Sea Shepherd tell, that they also eat meat on your vessel - surely you can't deny that ..? And also a lot of your landcrew are meat-eaters, so it's starting to sound like hypocrites saying: Please don't kill the whales. KILL the cows!"

It's ok, that you will never back down, Mr. Watson and that your small company (Sea Shepherd) is going after the big companies, that sell faroese salmon. We all remember how much difference it made, when you told people to SPAM the danish politicans. The truth will prevail - people are starting to WAKE UP and soon people will start asking questions: Is it really the truth, that Sea Shepherd is saying or it is some truth, that the little guy from Faroe Islands is saying ..?

To end this one - I going to ask people from around the world to go to: www.whaling.fo for some more knowledge about faroese whaling - the more you know - the better, right ? And if you want to know more about Faroe Islands - go to: www.visitfaroelands.com and I will quote Sea Shepherd on some of things they are saying about our beautiful islands: "The astonishing beauty of the Faroe Islands make them an appealing tourist destination" ... and then they write something else, that I won't quote ;-)
