Paul Watson: Is Nymark saying their actions were guided by the need to solicit trust from the Faroese people and not because of the need to perform their actual duties as required by law? Our questions are, and we will be seeking answers in court about this: Does Denmark as a member of the European Union not have an obligation to uphold European laws, rules and regulations or is their priority to secure the trust of the Faroese whalers? Does Denmark have the right to arrest European citizens, to fine and deport them for opposing an activity that is a violation of European law?
Paul Watson: He claims they succeeded in fining Sea Shepherd. However not a singe fine was paid and not a single Sea Shepherd volunteer was sent to jail for non-payment of these fines. The only result was the revelation that the government, the police and the Navy of Denmark officially admit to defending an action that is a crime within Denmark. This admission will help Sea Shepherd in our legal challenge against Denmark.
Paul Watson: In other words the Faroese Navy and police had to move against a challenge in the Scottish Courts and seized the Sea Shepherd boat in Scotland without the authority or permission from the Scottish Courts. In fact the seizure was denied by the Scottish Courts after the boat was “stolen” and not legally confiscated by Danish authorities.
My response: Hahahahaha - at least we got some of the money back ..!
Paul Watson: The Faroese have passed laws to bar Sea Shepherd boats and crew from entry into the Faroe Islands. This has forced Sea Shepherd to re-organize with a legal challenge and to build up an economic opposition by targeting Faroese fish exports, especially domestic farm raised salon that are raised in the same bays where the whales are killed and whose employees participate in the slaughter. In addition the three companies Bakkenfrost, Hidden Fjord and Marine Harvest still refuse to confirm or deny the question if they feed whale and dolphin meat to their farm raised salmon. We were tipped off that they do thus the question is reasonable to ask considering that at least a third of the whale meat is unaccounted for and not eaten by the Faroese people.
After-all you are part dane yourself (your grandfather was Otto Larsen) and you should know, that sustainable meat (like pigs and Pilot Whales) is something, that people around the world is going to eat - no matter what lies you dig up! We are very happy, that you eat GREEN, Mr. Watson - because let's face it: Your body ain't fit to eat more meat and it's more meat to us meat eaters.
So put a cork in it, Paul Watson and go find some other country to bother - because you won't be able to harvest more money from Faroe Islands anyhow !!!
