It's not breaking any law - that we kill a couple of Pilot Whales a year. And yes - we eat sustainablee whalemeat and it is divided to everyone that was a part of the whaleharvest.
Some people may think that this is strange - but the matter of a fact is that there are about 1,4 million Pilot Whales around the world and faroese people only kill about 800 a year (some times much less than that) and thus this is sustainable.
I really can't understand Paul Watson, because his boss (Alex Cornelissen) was in a meeting in Denmark - and was told at the meeting - that Faroe Islands isn't under EU law and that Denmark and Faroe Islands havn't got the same laws. We have our own laws.
Paul Watson should know this - as he himself is part faroese. He is trying to hide - that his family comes from a village in Hvalba, but we know this is a fact and also his grandfather was from Denmark. And he can't hide the fact - that he's actually quite fond of meat himself (just look at him - do you really think this man is vegan ..?)
And so he travels around the world and tells the same old lies about Faroe Islands and Japan - in hope of some suckers give him some money, so he can spread some more propaganda & lies about our peaceful country. I would like to remind you, folk's - that Faroe Islands isn't in EU and we have our own law and the Pilot Whales we kill are sustainable and taste f***ing good!
And before you judge us - ask yourself this question: Is it alright to kill a sustainable pig, cow or chicken - and not okay to kill a sustainable whale ?!?
